An easy and elegant appetizer perfect for a brunch or dinner party! You can find blackberries, basil, and jam at our farmers market over the next few weeks!
1 package frozen mini fillo pastry shells
1/3 block of brie, rind removed (if desired)
15 small basil leaves OR 4 large basil leaves, cut into small strips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place pastry shells on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cut brie into 15 equal pieces and place one piece of brie into each pastry shell. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is just melted and still creamy. Watch them — this happens fast! Remove from oven and let cool.
Place an 1/8 tsp of blackberry jam on top of each pastry shell. Place 1 blackberry and one basil leaf on each or if using chopped basil, sprinkle a bit on each. Serve!
